Neil Martinson
Neil's research interests are in the field of HV and T B, and more latterly COVID-19. He has conducted multiple observational studies, clinical trials and cluster randomised trials of novel agents or interventions to mitigate the impact of HIV and TB on individuals. This includes methods of diagnosing TB earlier, contact tracing using index patients of various types, mortality and its causes in virally suppressed adults, malignancies in people living with HIV and TB in pregnant women. He is the executive director of the PHRU which has research sites in Soweto, Aeroton, Matlosana, Botshabelo and Limpopo and is an adjunct associate professor at Johns Hopkins University.
