David Moore

David is a paediatric infectious diseases sub-specialist working at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. He is a keen clinical researcher, with strong ties to the Wits Vaccines and Infectious Diseases Analytics Research Unit. He is interested in optimising care of children with pneumonia and other infections, and in teaching clinicians how most appropriately to prescribe antimicrobials so as to prevent the accumulation of drug-resistant infections. He enjoys listening to classical music, coding in R, Python and Julia, and supervising postgraduate students.
