Christina Thobakgale

I am a Senior Researcher at the School of Pathology, and my work focuses on understanding cellular and viral factors that predispose individuals to HIV disease severity in infected infants and adults. Current research interests include interrogation of innate immunological factors and drivers of inflammation in spontaneous HIV control without antiretroviral therapy, manipulation of which could inform cure strategies.
