Chris Mathew

Prof Matthew obtained his BSc(Hons) in South Africa and his PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research, London. He was Professor of Molecular Genetics at Guy's Hospital, King's College London until

2020, and was appointed Distinguished Professor in Human Genetics at Wits in 2015. He was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences UK in 2001, and an A-rated scientist by the South African NRF in 2017. He has published >280 peer-reviewed articles and has an H-index of 91. He leads the Cancer Genetics group at the Sydney Brenner Institute for Molecular Bioscience.
