Carole Metekoua

Carole Metekoua is an Epidemiologist and Data Scientist at the National

Cancer Registry. She is also a PhD Candidate at the University of Bern,

Switzerland. Carole holds an MSc in Epidemiology (Public Health Informatics) and a Master of Public Health. Her research interests include comorbidities, artificial intelligence, automation of data management processes and visualisation for effective communication. She is currently working on "Trends in the epidemiology of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphomas (NHL) in South Africa" as part of her PhD project. This project aims at describing the trends in incidence and mortality of NHL and its subtypes in the context of the evolving HIV epidemic and antiretroviral therapy (ART) rollout in South Africa. It will also evaluate the impact of HIV on the survival of NHL patients in South Africa
