Betty Maepa

Dr Maepa holds a PhD in microbial molecular biology from University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently a senior lecturer in the department of Molecular Medicine and Hematology. She is affiliated to the Antiviral Gene Therapy Research Unit and her research focuses on developing viral vector based gene therapeutics and vaccines against viral infections.
